I think it's fair to say that my entire summer has been made by y-not festival, it took place 3rd-5th August in the peak district in Derbyshire (so not too far for me). The bands I saw include the likes of Mystery Jets, The Cribs, Swim Deep, The 1975, Saint Raymond, Lewis Watson, Deaf Havana, and all of the acts were incredible. Other than the Friday night, when Mystery Jets were called off early because of the thunder and lightning and stupidly heavy rain (they didn't play two doors down and I was so upset, I was also soaking wet from having to walk back to the tent), the rest of the weekend was also really good. Although the rain from that night did make the entire campsite disgustingly muddy for the rest of the weekend (not to mention that I FELL IN IT) it was so hilarious and such a good experience. I went with such a good group of people, and the rain and mud just made it funnier in parts. There were dodgems, and a secret rave tent, as well as lots of different stages and bars. I can't fault the festival, everything was so well prepared, the bands were insane, and I just had the best time of my life. Definitely going to go next year as well.
