Starting A New Chapter

Since I started this blog six years ago, my posts have always ranged in frequency. I've gone through stages of posting a lot, and then not posting again for a while...

How I Lost 4 Stone

I haven't written a blogpost in a while as I've been working in Ibiza over the summer, but I thought I would kickstart my blog back off with my most requested post: how I managed to lose 4 stone in just over one year.

My 22nd Birthday

If you know me, then you'll know that I like to drag my birthday celebrations out for as long as possible, so I thought I'd show you some of the outfits I wore throughout the celebrations.

MY GUIDE TO BARCELONA

I feel like everybody is going to Barcelona at the moment, and after visiting, I can really see why. It's definitely one of my favourite cities, the city itself is so beautiful and full of amazing architecture, and the fact that there's a beach right next to it as well is a winner in my book. I visited Barcelona at the end of June/beginning of July for five days with my friends from university, and we had the most amazing time! Carry on reading to see what we got up to.

PARKLIFE FESTIVAL

Hello dolls! I know, I know, it's been so long since I last wrote a blogpost. I've literally been having the best (and craziest) summer of my life. I've been away altogether for about six weeks, so the blog has had to take a backseat for a while. But now I'm back, and I want to fill you all in on everything I've been doing before I get back to my final year at university. At the beginning of summer I went to Parklife festival - it feels like it was ages ago now but I thought I'd show you some pictures and my outfits from the weekend.

2015 IN REVIEW

Those of you who are old readers of my blog may remember I did a similar '2014 in review' post this time last year (if you do remember that, thanks for sticking around!) 2015 has been such an amazing year for me, so I thought I'd do another one, not only for you guys but also for myself to look back on in future and remember the amazing things I did and achieved.

life update #2

Second year is tough. So much tougher than first year. Why did no one warn me?! I've had three deadlines already and I'm so glad they're out of the way, I've really missed blogging and can't wait to get back into it again now. Whilst I've been away, I actually got a new job as well...

A little update...

Hello dolls! Long time no speak, and I don't really have much excuse for my lack of blogposts, except bad organisation. But I'm back now, and thought I'd let you know what I've been up to over the past few weeks.

I finished my first year at university! It's been the best year ever, I've made the best friends and had such an amazing time. I also moved into my new house, and can't wait to start living there properly in September. I also found out that I passed first year with a 2:1 overall which I was pretty happy about!

The main thing I have to tell you is that I went inter-railing for three weeks! That's where this picture was taken, I went with my friend Grace from university and we visited Berlin, Munich, Prague, Budapest, Vienna, Ljubljana and Venice. I had such a lovely time, but I'm planning on doing a whole blogpost on that with photos, as well as a YouTube video about my experience so let me know if you have any questions at all!

At the moment I'm in Newcastle visiting Grace again, and it's really lovely here. Apart from that, I haven't been doing that much except catching up with friends, and working a bit as well. I have the rest of summer off now before going back to university so I'm definitely going to get back on it with my posts!

There is one more thing I have to tell you, and it is that I'm going to London on the 3rd of August for 3 days in collaboration with Unite Students!!! I'll tell you more about it once I've actually been as I'll be writing more blogposts about it, but basically myself and 11 other bloggers are partaking in a '24 hour challenge' throughout London! I'm so excited to go to London and explore as I haven't been in a while, and obviously I can't wait to meet lots of other bloggers and vloggers! It's going to be so much fun, so make sure you're following me on all my social media to keep up with what I'll be up to!

Thank you so much for bearing with me while I sort myself out in terms of blogging, do let me know if there's anything you'd like to see from me, but I can promise that my posts will be much more regular from now!

GOODBYE 2014, HELLO 2015

I'm a little late on the bandwagon with these year in review posts, but I just had to do one. I would honestly go as far as saying that 2014 has been the best year of my life, for a number of reasons. The beginning of the year wasn't that great, but Summer onwards has been AMAZING. Not only have I experienced some absolutely incredible things, I've made some amazing new friends, and grown so much as a person. I've worked super hard, and learnt so many new things, not only in an educational sense but also skills for life. Going to University and moving out is the main thing which has changed my year (the best decision I ever made) but I'm going to show you why my 2014 was so amazing, and also so I can look back on this in future and remember all my happy memories. Get a cup of tea, because I have a feeling it's going to be a long one.

Leaving college and A Level results:
I really enjoyed my two years at college, but I definitely felt ready to leave. Me and my friends had a lot of celebrations, and I feel like leaving was quite a big milestone in my little life so far. On a similar note, results day was a huge highlight of my year; a day I had been stressing and worrying about for months, the stress of university and clearing looming for so long. I was so glad when I found out I got A*AA, and that all of my hard work had finally paid off, I got into my dream university, the University of Leeds. For months I convinced myself I hadn't got in, my mum knew how disappointed I would be if I hadn't, but luckily I did! When I found out I'd got in I burst into tears, I've never felt so happy before in my life! I had a great time celebrating and it's something I will always remember and continue to be incredibly proud of.

Magaluf:
In July I went on my first girls holiday with my best friends! I have to say, before going I wasn't sure how much I'd enjoy it, as in my head I thought I'd prefer a chilled holiday, just going out on the odd occasion. BUT I BLOODY LOVED IT. I thought Magaluf would be stereotypically 'chavvy', but it wasn't at all, I would even say it was one of the best weeks of my life. I had so much fun, we went to a foam party, silent disco, paint party, boat party, pool party, frat party - it was crazy. I made some really good friends there, and honestly just had such a good time. It was definitely a good way to celebrate finishing my A Levels!

Leeds Festival:
I'd been wanting to go to Leeds Festival for the past two years, and this year I finally managed to go! (Even though me and Hannah only bought our tickets two weeks before). We were really lucky with the weather, and although it was still pretty cold (at night) I enjoyed it so much! I went with a really cool group of people and had such a laugh with them all. I saw some really good artists, like Arctic Monkeys, Paramore (who I'd wanted to see live for YEARS), The Kooks, Clean Bandit, Vampire Weekend, Disclosure, SBTRKT, Metronomy, Jake Bugg, Sigma and Aluna George. I had so much fun, and would definitely go again; in fact I am planning on going again this year!

University:
The biggest change in my life this year, and the best decision I ever made was going to University. Moving away was nerve racking as hell, and of course I miss my Mum and all of my friends from home, but I feel like I've grown so much as a person through going to uni, and I've made so many amazing new friends. Freshers was absolutely incredible, and I love all of my flat and block mates - we have such a laugh, I'm still so happy with all of it and so glad I went. Leeds is an amazing city, with a fabulous nightlife, and I'm enjoying every second; I can't wait to see what the next few years bring.

My 19th Birthday:
My first birthday away from home; I have to admit waking up by myself opening my presents without my mum there was kinda upsetting (growing up sucks right), but she rang me and I did see her the weekend before so it wasn't too bad. Everyone in my block came out that night to celebrate with me, and it was the best night out I've had in Leeds! I got free entry, guestlist for everyone, a free bottle of champagne, a VIP booth, and I met Stevie from MIC! I came home from Leeds that weekend to celebrate with my friends from home too and had such a good time seeing them all again as well as my family! I had the best birthday ever, everyone made it so special for me!

Amsterdam:
I got the opportunity to go to Amsterdam with the English society at uni in November, which was AMAZING. The 14 hour coach journey wasn't so amazing, and although we weren't there for very long I had so much fun. We saw the red light district, the Anne Frank museum (something I've always wanted to do), went to the sex museum and went out to pubs and clubs. I made some really good friends I wouldn't have made unless I went, and had such a laugh, I'm so glad I got the opportunity to visit, and I would recommend going to anyone!

Blogging:
This year is the year my blog has really become bigger. I attended my first blogger event with M&Co, received a Triangl bikini (!!!) and partook in collaborations with So...? With Attitude, Brantanno and raise.com! In 2015 I want to try and blog even more, try and stick to a schedule, and get involved in more blogger chats. I really want to start making Youtube videos too, but we'll see how that goes.

Aims and Resolutions for 2015:
- To lose weight and get healthier. I know everyone says this, but I really need to start making the most of my uni gym membership, especially if I want to be able to wear that Triangl bikini in summer!
- To be more organised with posts. I really want to blog even more in 2015, and post more outfit posts whilst at university to make my blog even better!
- To continue to work hard at uni whilst still having fun  - I know first year doesn't count but I still want to do well.
- To have fun, stop being so pessimistic and have a year as good as 2014!

I hope you all had an amazing New Years, thank you so much for reading my blog over the past year, I aim to get my posts even better during 2015!

LIFESTYLE: NYE 2014/15

New Year's Eve is always one of my favourite celebrations of the year and this years (or should I say last years) was no exception. I went to my friend Tom's house party and had such a good time celebrating with all my friends! As you can see in the next few pictures, the selfie stick I got for Christmas went down an absolute treat - everyone loved it! I did attempt to take a few pictures of my outfit but they were such bad quality (damn still having an iPhone 4S), but hopefully you can still see what I wore in the pictures. The dress was FIVE POUNDS! Of course it was from Primark, but what a bargain! I absolutely love it! It reminds me a little of the 'My Bandage Dress' dresses, but obviously at a fraction of the price. I paired it with my New Look heels, and MAC's Rebel lipstick. I curled my hair with my new GHD Rose Gold straighteners (look out for a 'What I got for Christmas' post from me soon where I'll go into more detail!) Anyway, I always enjoy posts like this so hope you enjoy the pictures! I love them all, I honestly felt so happy on this night and I think the photos really reflect that, which is always a good thing!

I hope you all had a fab New Years Eve too! The girl at the bottom of the picture Emily also has a blog, go and check her out over at Life With EmGem! Also my friend Jess (top left) is wearing MAC's Smoked Purple lipstick, and how friggin good does it look?! Those two always have such good make up I swear! Aimee's make up (middle) looks amazing too, gurrrrrl those lashes, she's actually currently editing a Youtube video on this look so I'll be sure to link that in a future post. My gorgeous friend Maia (second in from the left) also has a blog over at Wow You Are So Lovely, and although Sarah and Orlagh don't have blogs they both look as gorgeous as ever. God, I have some pretty friends!

CHRISTMAS WISHLIST AND LAST MINUTE IDEAS

/ Frankie Journal / Yankee Candle / 'More Issues Than Vogue' Phone Case / Selfie Stick / Paris Street Style / Zoeva Rose Gold Brushes / MAC Velvet Teddy / NARS Virtual Domination / Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick Charm Trio / GHD Rose Gold Limited Edition /

Frankie Journal - I've wanted this for a while now to keep my life in check, it might actually make me more organised. Yankee Candle - what kind of girl doesn't like candles? Phone Case - I feel like this represents my life. Selfie Stick - EVERY GIRL NEEDS ONE, especially in pink, group selfies before going out made SO much easier. Paris Street Style - again, wanted it for ages, fashion inspo. Zoeva Brushes - they're rose gold make up brushes, need I say more? MAC Velvet Teddy - any girl would love any MAC lipstick, but we all know Velvet Teddy is the lipstick of the month and it's back in stock online so no excuses (I ordered it for myself yesterday, oops). NARS Palette - it's just SO pretty, gimme. Charlotte Tilbury Lipsticks - I would love anything Charlotte Tilbury, but lets be honest, gift sets are always a winner. Rose Gold GHD'S - are you seeing a rose gold pattern here? I'm actually getting these for Christmas myself so couldn't not include them, I can't wait to receive them!!

I got sent this gift set from the lovely Kandice at So...? With Attitude, and I think it would make a perfect stocking filler. All of their scents are gorgeous and so affordable, and these sets also come with a body lotion and lip balm. I think this 'exclusive' perfume is going to become my daily one! Buy your own here.

I know a lot of you are probably like me and haven't bought all of your Christmas presents yet so I thought I'd do a last minute ideas post, and these are all things I'd be happy with myself so I guess it's a little bit of a wishlist as well! I would never expect anyone to spend a lot of money on me so they're all in quite a good price range as well (mostly). I only have a few more things to get, but Christmas this year just seems to have come around so quickly! It's literally a week away, to be honest this whole year has gone unbelievably fast. I'm so excited for Christmas this year, I can't wait to spend some quality time with my family, being at university has definitely made me appreciate them even more. I hope you're all a bit more organised than me, but if not, I hope this post helps a little!
